Centre for Advanced Sanitation Solutions (CASS)
In 2011, along with its partners Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL) and Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association (BORDA), CDD Society established a Centre for Advanced Sanitation Solutions (CASS) to disseminate knowledge and promote sustainable sanitation solutions.
The sanitation exhibition consists of pictures of sanitary tools and few models during the Indus Valley civilization, Aztec era, medieval age and even Queen Elizabeth’s flushing toilet till recent times are displayed.
The Exhibition features impressive real scale models of sanitation facilities across the globe. Since its launch in 2011, CASS as a one-stop shop for learning about linkages between problems related to sanitation and solution options.
The exhibition also provides a cross section, which is unique for clients and visitors and real scale!! (Demonstrates the treatment modules of DEWATS)
Additionally, there are displays that reflect the sanitation condition prevalent around the world in general and India’s sanitation situations.
The exhibition unit has regular visitors from across the developmental sector. A total of 522 visitors stepped into the CASS premises last year. In the first quarter of 2014, the unit witnessed visit's of mostly decision makers from national and international development sector experts and educational institutions. On an average, 115 visitors from educational institutions, community participants and professionals from small and medium entrepreneurs visited CASS.
